My Thoughts
Necessary slot? I think it’s useful to have either Lemon Yellow or Middle Yellow for mixing (as it is a primary color), and of course for painting anything with a bold yellow color.
Favorites: Hansa Yellow Medium (PY97) has a bold, middle yellow. I also like Azo Yellow (PY151), which is slightly cooler. I use them approximately interchangeable, but switch to a cooler Lemon Yellow (e.g. PY175) for very bright greens such as spring buds.
