My thoughts
Necessary slot? No. Like green, I find brown to be a color that is easy to mix and that almost always needs to be mixed anyway, even if you are starting from a convenience color. You encounter so many different varieties of brown in a landscape that you almost never want the same one twice.
Favorites: I like the PR101 browns, but I don’t think they are improvements over their earth orange and earth red counterparts; rather, I think they are more limited in use case.
