Lynne passed along some paints to me, so I got to do some swatching. Thanks Lynne!
DS – Alizarin Crimson (PR83)
The first several of these are red options!

I finally tried genuine Alizarin Crimson! After trying many dupes, I didn’t find the original too surprising. It’s nice but not “trade away your lightfastness” nice.
DS – Permanent Alizarin Crimson (PR177, PV19, PR149)

I guess it’s pretty close, but not pink enough, IMO. And not a color I’d pick if my entire purpose wasn’t to match Alizarin Crimson, since it also has some not-that-lightfast ingredients, notably Anthraquinone Red PR177.
WN – Permanent Carmine

Similar to the Alizarin Crimson, but slightly more violet-toned, this is an example of the unusual PR N/A Quinacridone Pyrrolidone pigment. I think it especially matches original Alizarin Crimson in its chroma; some of the replacements are higher-chroma. Lightfastness of this pigment is unclear to me.
Holbein – Crimson Lake

We get even more into violet-toned colors with Holbein’s Crimson Lake, which to me looks more like Quinacridone Fuchsia (PR202) than Alizarin Crimson. Again, though, this is a mix of pigments that includes Anthraquinone Red (PR177), which is not a very lightfast ingredient. I’d probably opt for PR202 if I wanted this hue.
DS – Anthraquinone Scarlet (PR168)

We’re out of the crimson zone and into scarlet! I wanted to try this because it is a pigment that is new to me. The anthraquinone family is unusual in that is has red, yellow, and blue. When I painted this out I thought it looked similar to Quin Coral (PR209), but then I painted a little PR209 at the bottom and you can see it’s much cooler and pinker.
DS – Cobalt Blue Violet (PB28, PV19)

This is a really pretty violet made from a mix of Cobalt Blue and Quin Rose (or some other PV19).
I love this, but it’s also an easy mix from two colors I nearly always have on my palette, so probably not worth buying premixed.
SH – Neutral Tint (PR122, PB60, PBk7)
I’d already tried Schmincke’s Neutral Gray but this is my first time trying Neutral Tint.

I find Neutral Gray more neutral; Neutral Tint has a real purpliness to it. As you might expect from a mix of PR122 and PB60! I’m surprised it’s not more purple tbh.
Conclusion
Thanks again to Lynne for giving me the opportunity to try all of these! I’m sorry I was such a pill about them!
I am at a point where most new colors I try are not better than the ones I’ve already got, which is a cool situation to be in – it means I’ve already made good choices!
