Beautiful Landscapes, Idly Painted

Triadvent Day 23: MANS, Perylene Violet, Cobalt Turquoise

About Triadvent

Today I drew:

This misty canyon really felt a mess when I was painting it, but it dried okay I guess. As usual with PG50, darks were a bit tricky. The Perylene Maroon helped a lot, especially for dark browns and grays, but dark greens were not possible; I had to just use dark gray or light green, or intersperse them.

I used a lot of MANS, but my mixes still don’t seem to have come out very granulating.

Light grays are very nice, as in the sky. Blues with interesting depth from the mix of PG50 and Perylene Violet.

Adding a real dark blue to this would help a lot. Perhaps if I do the “triad + bonus color” version I’m always threatening, PG50 would really be a bonus color.

Tomorrow will be my last day of Triadvent!
