About Triadvent
We’re in the final week and I’m reviewing my best-of! Today I drew all Da Vinci:

Cobalt Blue and PR122 is one of my favorite combos and makes the brightest purples. I initially wasn’t sure about the combination of bright PR122 and earthy Raw Sienna, but I quite like the combination, especially the one that looks just like a great Burnt Sienna! That inspired me to paint red rocks. (This is a Peggy’s Cove photo, so the rocks are actually gray but look red in the light.)
Getting darks was a little difficult. I had to really work up a blue-gray with tons of pigment since all three of these pigments are fairly light valued. Ideally, I’d use a dark color with this, but other than that I’d be happy to use these three colors together again.
